How to use DimX

It takes about a minute. DimX only recolors a page that is already in a dark theme.

Set up

1. Install DimX from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Pin the extension to your toolbar so the switches are one click away.
3. On X, set the display to Lights Out.
4. On Grok, set the theme to Dark.
5. On Reddit, set the theme to Dark (avatar menu).

The toolbar icon shows OFF only when the switch for the site in your current tab is turned off.

Good to know

• If the page is in light mode, DimX does nothing. Switch the site to its dark theme first.
• Old Reddit has no built-in dark theme, so DimX applies there only when the page is already dark (for example with RES night mode).
• On Reddit, DimX themes the main page only, not embedded ads or media frames.
• If a page looks wrong after a site redesign, tell us. X changes its page code often.
